Jeff East is an American actor and producer who has been in the industry for over 55 years. He began his career at the age of fourteen, playing the iconic character of Huckleberry Finn in the Reader's Digest and United Artists musical "Tom Sawyer," alongside Jodie Foster and Johnny Whittaker. He later starred in the classic adaptation of "Huckleberry Finn" with Paul Winfield and Harvey Korman.

In addition to his acting, Jeff showcased his musical talents by forming the bands One Way Street and the Planet Band, which performed at various venues in Hollywood and San Diego. He also had a record deal with Columbia Records, through which he released several recordings.

Jeff lent his voice to the lead role in the CBS cartoon show "Meatballs and Spaghetti." In 1974, Walt Disney Pictures signed him to a contract for "The Wonderful World of Disney," during which he worked on three films: "The Ghost of Cypress Swamp," "Flight of the Grey Wolf," and "Return of the Big Cat."

In 1977, Jeff was cast as the young Clark Kent in "Superman: The Movie," working alongside Marlon Brando, Susannah York, Glenn Ford, and Phyllis Thaxter. The film went on to become the number one box office hit of 1978.

In 1979, Jeff portrayed Jack London in "Klondike Fever," alongside Rod Steiger and Angie Dickinson. He also played Joseph the Carpenter in the biblical film "Mary and Joseph: A Story of Faith" for NBC, featuring Blanche Baker and Colleen Dewhurst.

After getting married in 1980 to architect Lori Gates in Los Angeles, he was offered two films by Wes Craven: "Summer of Fear" with Linda Blair and "Deadly Blessing" starring Ernest Borgnine, Susan Buckner, and Sharon Stone.

In 1983, Jeff appeared in the nuclear disaster film "The Day After," alongside Jason Robards and John Lithgow. He also starred in the outrageous comedy "Up the Creek," which featured the cast from "Animal House," and played quarterback Bryce Smith in HBO's first cable series "First and 10," alongside Delta Burke. In 1988, Stan Winston chose Jeff to lead alongside Lance Henriksen in "Pumpkinhead."

Over his career, Jeff completed over 100 national commercials for various companies, including John Hancock, FedEx, Toyota, and Pizza Hut. He also participated in dozens of Off-Broadway shows for theaters in Kansas City and Los Angeles.

In 1992, Jeff produced and co-starred with Jack Nicholson in Blaine Novak’s film "Blue Champagne," featuring Jonathan Silverman.
 
Jeff stepped away from acting to launch his production company, Big Bull Productions, which has since evolved into Calm Company LLP in partnership with Blaine Novak and Pascale Lambert. Calm Company is a versatile production, literary, and distribution company that specializes in theatrical and media entertainment. Jeff has several projects in development, including "Find Me If You Dare" and "Terminal Man," a miniseries for Netflix. He has also made numerous live theatre appearances with the South of France English Theatre Group, as well as on stages in Kansas City and Los Angeles.

Jeff married his business partner, Pascale Lambert, and they currently reside in Nice, France.
