Episode 6 – Talking With Former Child Star Keith Coogan Part 2

Episode 6 – Talking With Former Child Star Keith Coogan Part 2

During the second part of his conversation with actor and former child star Keith Coogan, Tony asks him how he got his first on-screen role in the hilarious 1987 teen comedy “Adventures In Babysitting,” what it was like working with actress Elizabeth Shue on that film and later with actress Christina Applegate on the hit 1991 comedy “Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter is Dead,” as well as his childhood memory of playing Cindy Williams’ son in a special episode of the classic TV sitcom “Laverne & Shirley” and his plans on writing a book to help kids (and their parents) on how to make it in Hollywood!

KEITH COOGAN

The grandson of legendary character actor Jackie Coogan, Keith began his acting career doing TV commercials -- his first gig was as a stand-in in a McDonald's TV spot. That lead to parts on various TV shows and made-for-TV movies such as Little House On The Prairie, The Waltons, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy, Eight Is Enough, Knight Rider, Growing Pains, Silver Spoons, Fame, and CHiPs.  He also did the voice of Young Tod for the charming animated Disney picture "The Fox and the Hound."

His first on-screen role was as the smitten Brad Anderson in the delightful teen comedy cult favorite "Adventures in Babysitting" (1987).  Keith gave a very funny and engaging performance as Christina Applegate's stoner layabout brother Kenny in the equally enjoyable "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead" (1991) and was impressive as Jonathan "Snuffy" Bradberry in "Toy Soldiers" (1991).

Recent credits include the feature films, "Beautiful Garden", "Dawn Patrol", "Cats Dancing on Jupiter", "Limelight", and a creepy turn in Lifetime Television's "A Tale of Two Coreys".

Keith was most recently seen on screen in Kevin Smith's "Jay and Silent Bob Reboot" for Saban Films/Universal Pictures. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife Kristen and continues to act with pleasing regularity.
